Some users report that removing the printer device via the Devices menu shows a perpetual “being removed” state with no improvement over time. There are times the dat file isn't listed and that's when I find it to be locked. Under that, the WebCache files are found - chk, log, jrs - and that V01.dat file, sometimes. I use CCleaner, CCEnhancer and winapp2.ini, the latter two add (among a bunch of others) an "Internet - Internet Explorer 10/11" item for cleaning.
